It began with a photograph by the artist Brassai. Among his well-known images is that of La Mome bijou, or Miss Diamonds, a bejeweled barfly whose life was something of a mystery.

“Fern” a woman, part real and part fictional, has become the restaurant’s matriarch. Fern’s life revolved around the fine food, beverage, and the love of the nightlife with friends. Nightlife in Paris was full of street fairs with carousels. Fabulous Fern’s has been inspired by the history of Fern and the Carousel Horse. Her name sake Fabulous Fern’s Bar and Grill is described by the St. Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau as, “Simply the Finest Neighborhood Restaurant and Bar in St. Paul”.

Fabulous Fern’s offers a wide array of classic dishes, pastas, entrée salads, and delicious sandwiches. The weekly Featured Menu is created by the Chef with items of his choice. Fern’s full Menu is served Sunday-Wednesday until 10 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday until midnight. We also served up a delicious Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. See you there!
